- Legal Entity Status
To enroll in the Developer Program, your organization must be a legal entity so that it can enter into legal agreements with Apple. We do not accept DBAs, fictitious businesses, trade names, or branches. The legal entity name must correspond to the tax ID you plan to use and will appear on the product page for the app you can distribute on the AppStore and Mac App Store. Your organization must have a DUNS® number so that we can verify your organization’s identity and legal entity status. These unique nine-digit numbers are assigned by Dun & Bradstreet and are widely used as standard corporate identifiers. You can check if your organization already has a DUNS® number and apply for one if necessary. They are free in most jurisdictions. As shown below

Nonprofit/Nonprofit organization entity type, just as the name implies, nonprofit organizations can be exempted from the annual fee of up to $299 per year. Some people with rich imagination can do it. To apply for this type of account, you need to cooperate with Apple’s telephone return visit. As shown in the following figure

Accredited Educational Institution, this entity type can be obtained by some people overseas, and it can also waive the annual fee of up to US$299. Applying for this type of account requires English proficiency because Apple will call back manually.

Government Organization, this is easier to understand, as shown in the figure below
