In recent years, many developers have experienced “random account termination” by Google Play. Many people think that Apple is more conscientious and will not terminate accounts casually. But is this really the case?
This case is a developer who is developing positively. The product does not do any illegal operations. Apple devices and networks are all brand new. After releasing two different types of apps, one for more than a year and the other for about half a year, a termination notice was suddenly received. The following is the content of the account termination notice:
Pending termination notice
Upon further review of the activity associated with your Apple Developer Program membership, we have determined that your membership has been used for dishonest or fraudulent activity in violation of the Apple Developer Program License Agreement and Developer Code of Conduct (App Review Guidelines 5.6). Given the severity of the issues identified, your account has been marked for deletion.
Because your account has been marked for deletion, all revenue payments have been suspended and app transfers have been disabled. Creating a new account after receiving this message may result in the termination of the new or associated account.
Evidence of dishonest or fraudulent activity
You provided fraudulent and/or false account information to Apple during account registration or after account creation.
Violated guidelines or terms
The above dishonest or fraudulent behavior directly violates Section 3.2(f) of the Apple Developer Program License Agreement
Let’s analyze this unprovoked account suspension copy
Dishonest or fraudulent activities/You provided fraudulent and/or false account information to Apple during the account registration process or after the account was created. This is the reason given for account termination.
The developer used his own real and valid company entity to register, and the identity information was also real and valid. The device for registering and logging in to the Apple developer was also a brand new Apple computer. There was no false information at all, so why would it be characterized as dishonesty and fraud?
If you encounter this account termination problem, you can only check and correct the account and application problems yourself. Only when you find the cause can you continue to deal with subsequent application release issues.
