Regarding the Facebook/Meta phone verification code issue, I have published a related article before: Can Chinese phone numbers receive SMS verification codes from Facebook/Meta? At that time, I could receive SMS verification codes normally. Then I deleted the bound phone number and tried to register as a Meta developer. When I reached the second step, I could not receive the verification code. I tried the Chinese phone that could receive SMS normally before, but it didn’t work, as shown in the figure below.

Then I went to the Facebook account center (personal details) to try to study it in detail, but I still couldn’t receive the SMS verification code, as shown in the figure below.

I tried to verify using multiple different phone numbers in the contact information, but I couldn’t receive the SMS verification code, as shown in the figure below.

Previously, the same account received the SMS verification code normally two days ago. After a lot of trouble, I couldn’t receive SMS messages using the same account and the same phone number. I have to say that meta’s new risk control mechanism is really powerful. Although the account has not been suspended so far, I can’t carry out any subsequent work normally without receiving SMS messages.
